Project Background
HomeServices of America envisioned MyAtlas as a transformative tool in the real estate sector, simplifying the complex processes of buying, selling, and refinancing homes. Valtira's task was to create a user-centric platform that integrates the varied services offered by Edina Realty and its affiliates into a unified, navigable dashboard.
Needs and Challenges
Real estate transactions involve multiple parties and systems, often leading to fragmented experiences for buyers and sellers. The vision was to establish Edina Realty as a pioneering full-service company in this space. The collaborative effort to realize this vision spanned two years, focusing on building a robust and versatile platform.
My Role
As a VP of UX, I was responsible for crafting the initial designs of the MyAtlas app. I brought in and led my team through the design process, ensuring creative excellence at each stage. My role extended beyond design; I was pivotal in the project's progression, liaising with senior leaders at Valtira, HomeServices of America, and Edina Realty to drive the project forward.
Solution
MyAtlas presents a streamlined approach to real estate transactions, allowing users to access services like mortgage, title, insurance, and warranty in one place. The app not only tracks the progress of transactions but also aims to provide personalized advice on homeownership in future iterations.

Development of a React Native mobile application, enabling users to browse homes and monitor transaction milestones.
Technical Architecture
Designed to be white-labeled, the MyAtlas platform allows various HomeServices of America companies to use the same codebase while branding the applications according to their guidelines. The app, built with React Native, leverages Microsoft’s AppCenter for streamlined app store deployment. The backend infrastructure, hosted on Microsoft Azure Functions, powers both the web and mobile experiences, with customized data integration for each company involved.
